Dr. Abdul Hadi Mahmoud al-Zaidi, a professor from the department of Islamic philosophy at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, has published a paper entitled “Islamic Theory in Media and Its Cultural Dimensions” in its latest issue in 2021, on the research of its scientific conference (the role of Muslim scholars in cultural construction), in collaboration with the Iraqi Hadith School.

In his research, Al-Zaidi concluded that the Islamic theory in the media is the set of ethical, scientific and professional provisions and rules derived from the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, which composes the general picture of the media process. One of its most important principles was good words, insight into performance and delivery, wisdom in presentation, choice of good sermon on the subject, meaningful debate, and its characteristics were that it derived its origins from the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, that it had deep roots in the human psyche, for its proper approval, and that media censorship was endorsed by Islamic theory in the media, through the media itself, through individuals and opinion leaders who followed the media, and by the State by following what was published in the media, although this theory. Different cultural dimensions, including: ideological, humane, middle and balanced cultural dimensions. The researcher recommended the adoption of Islamic theory in the media in the research and study curricula, and the treatment of the media and the terms of thought.
