The department of journalism at the college of media has announced the results of a survey conducted by its doctoral students on private colleges and universities established in Iraq recently through shedding light on the reality and ambition of its spread in various provinces of the country from the point of view of the Iraqi academic elite.

This poll was undertaken under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Shukria al-Sarraj who stated that the findings of such a study revealed the most important pros and cons of private education as well as many obstacles that professors and students face in order to provide solutions and future prospects, adding that the most prominent results are the failure to preserve the rights of some faculty members and the fact that this kind of colleges attract large numbers of students which is something arouses the fear of many officials depending on the standards adopted by the ministry of higher education since such educational institutions provide entertainment and online teaching means and lack of logistics compared to government colleges. Such indicatives will contribute to the rational decisions of those who in charge of private education in Iraq, so they will be submitted to the ministry of higher education and scientific research to be taken into consideration.
