The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage, in cooperation with the Department of Nursery at the College of Education for Women, has organized a symposium entitled “Childhood and child custody between heritage and contemporary”. The first lecture was delivered by the Prof. Dr. Amal Dawood Salim on (Islamic education in kindergarten) speaking about the age of (4-6 years) which is a stage made for most children, where their physical, psychological, mental, cognitive and moral personality are formed. The second lecturer was then delivered by Prof. Dr. Atiaf Yassin Khader on (The methods of raising children by the family from the Islamic perspective and the current reality) in which she spoke about the goals the family seeks to build a social personality for children on the basis of values, customs and traditions of that society.

Then Assist. Prof. Dr. Wassan Hussein Mohimed participated with a research entitled “Education among non-Muslims”, indicating that man is the product of the environment in which he is born represented by the family that embraces him from the first moments and it is the responsibility of the family to guide, educate and guide the child properly. Also the Assist. Prof. Dr. Iman Saleh Mahdi presented her research entitled “Children’s Rights in Islam between Theory and Practice”, as well as Dr. Fayyad Ahmed through his research (Children’s Rights in Islam as a Model) in which they shed light on the importance of ensuring that children are raised and raised properly in accordance with the approach of Allah Almighty and his Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). At last, Dr. Khameel Shaker al-Jamali gave a lecture on (Children’s Rights in International Laws) that outlined the importance of childhood as one of the most important stages in human life, where the child being weak and highly vulnerable to various factors surrounding him.
