Lecture on the foundations and skills of media monitoring and content analysis

The Department of Journalism at the College of Media has organized a scientific lecture entitled “Foundations and Skills of Media Monitoring and Content Analysis”, delivered by a number of doctoral students in the subject of monitoring and analysis. The aim of the lecture was to identify the concept of media monitoring, its foundations and skills, its relationship to content analysis, the skills to be provided in the media, the way to access the monitored material, interpretation and evaluation, and how to distinguish between real news and fake news. The lecture included monitoring the programs and bulletins of breaking news in the satellite channel Al-Trend, to learn about the contents of the programs and their suitability with the media work environment and the methods used to deal with issues in the institution.
