The national coordinator Commission of unified civil society organizations chose Prof. Dr. Musa Jawad al-Moussawi, as one of the best scientific and humanitarian personalities for his scientific and humanitarian efforts which he made and continue to make to the reality of Iraqi education. The Commission submitted a special letter of thanks and appreciation to Mr. President for his educational and humanitarian role. The Chairman of the National Coordinator Commission of unified civil society organizations had attended the office of the president with the Deputy Chairman of the Commission and members of the Commission for delivering the armor of the commission(souvenir) to Dr. Musa al-Musawi with the presence of Dr. Bassim Al-Abdali Secretary of Baghdad University, Dr. Sabah Mohammed Abbas, director of cultural relations at Baghdad University and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulbasett Salman, editor in chief the website of Baghdad University, and Mr. Zaid Salem from Media of the University, and in turn the President of the University donated a set of scientific publications of Baghdad University and presented them as a gift to the Comission .
Dr.Bassim Al- Abdali Secretary of Baghdad University told the website that the honor of Professor Dr. Musa al-Musawi, represents a scientific victory of Baghdad University and it witnessed distinctive great scientific developments coming from the distinguished role of Dr. Musa al-Musawi in transforming the university into an outstanding intellectual center within a short period, as the University are developing intellectually and a remarkable stability is shown in the march of the scientific movement through out the wisdom that is characterized by the university President .
Dr. Sabah Mohammed Abbas, the director of cultural relations stated that the selection of Dr. Musa al-Musawi is a selection of Baghdad University as the best university in Iraq and the Middle East, where the university witnessed significant developments on the ground during the past short time, which represents a historic turning point to the reality of education in Iraq as a whole .
Dr.Abdulbasett Salman, Editor in chief of the website of Baghdad University stated that the culmination of Dr. Musa as the best scientific and humanitarian personality is the consecration of the reality of the booming and scientific recovery which the University enjoyed is due to the wisdom and serenity of the personality of the president, where we find that the character of Musa al-Musawi has become a safety valve for science and scientists because of its creative strategic vision, and knowledgeable and scientific encyclopedia as well as the managerial knowledge, which is reflected in the reality of education in Iraq as a whole taking into consideration that Baghdad University represents 42% of the reality of education in Iraq .
Then the President of the University thanked all the audience and told them that they wish to cooperate scientifically and culturally with all scientific institutions and to serve the scientific march explaining to the members and the head of the national coordinator of civil society organizations the scientific approach and strategic process of the university this year and the following years, pointing out that the achievements of the university came out of the efforts and solidarity of the professors of Baghdad University and its scientists, stressing that a professor at Baghdad University is always generous, serious and persistent with enthusiasm and dedication for the best of the scientific reality, in order to enhance science and education at the university .
The head of the Commission has expressed his great admiration and happiness to see and touch the concrete scientific development of Baghdad University. At the end of the meeting, the members of the Commission initiated to extend their cooperation to develop ties with the university in more joint scientific programs to promote science in Iraq .
