The Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science has organized a specialized workshop entitled “Edmodo platform” in the presence of a number of students, teachers and software professionals. The workshop aimed to introduce this educational platform that offers online lessons, as an alternative to in-class lessons attended by students and teachers during the Covid-19 epidemic crisis, which was an obstacle to the movement of students to their schools, to be the ideal alternative under the conditions of the epidemic, as well as its goal of introducing the way in which it is enrolled and the quality of the services it provides, as one of the most important schools engaged in its online educational activity, and one of the platforms that provide its educational services directly free of charge.

The workshop, which was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Dalia Khaled and Assist. Prof. Dr. Huda Abdul Sattar, included the presentation of the this platform for providing lessons for students by enabling them to communicate with their teachers and colleagues, without the need to go to schools, stressing its importance in being one of the most important educational channels accepted by students due to fear of the spread of the new Krona virus, pointing out that the platform is registered globally as the first social network that connect all learners with the community and the resources of education they need to enhance their potential and build their skills towards improving the quality of education as a whole.
