The college of education for women at University of Baghdad has organized its first training course on (The procedural participatory research) in collaboration with UNICEF for three days (9 hours of training for each lecture). The aim of the course was to introduce the trainees to the concept of procedural participatory research, introduce them to some of the experiences in which they were used and its advantages and train them in identifying the problem of research and how to formulate and use observation and interview lists to collect data to determine the causes of the problem to develop appropriate solutions. Thirty-two trainees, including 16 supervisors, educational guides and teachers from the Ministry of Education, have participated in this event, as well as 16 trainees from the faculty’s teachings from various disciplines. The course was assessed by the trainees as a successful and effective course and they expressed the extent to which they benefited from the scientific material presented in the course.
