The college of dentistry has organized a ceremony for repeating the oath of the graduates of the sixty-fourth session for the academic year (2020-2021) held in the presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the representatives of the ministries of higher education & scientific research and health and the head of medical specialties and the captain of dentists in Iraq Dr. Bakr al-Rawi. The rector delivered a speech at the onset of this event in which he talked about the profession of dentists and its impact on society, labor market, the achievements and position of the university in international rankings.
The captain of dentists in Iraq gave a speech in which he praised the role of the college in the process of supervision and follow-up of the new colleges of dentistry in Iraq under the guidance of the ministry of higher education and scientific research. The dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq al-Hashimi, also delivered a speech in which he shed light on the history of the college and the profession of dentistry in general from the ethical and technical perspectives, which carries on its responsibilities as a humanitarian duty, then he talked about the rehabilitation campaigns currently under way at the college, including its educational hospital, pointing out the need to spread of the qualitative culture and scientific sobriety and wishing students and their families success in their future lives. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Oath of Hippocrates was repeated by the new graduates with the dean of the college who offered congratulations to them and their families.
