The department of Quranic sciences at the college of education for women held its 11th scientific conference of Quranic sciences, entitled “The Islamic approach in the face of sedition and tribulations between the inevitability of reality and aspirations” under the slogan: (By the Islamic approach, we face challenges and crises) via Zoom platform.
The conference aimed to demonstrate the role of the Islamic approach in treating crises and confronting adversity and rooting the concepts of sedition and distress in the Arab and Islamic heritage as well as reminding the Muslims of the need to resort permanently to Allah in the time of strife and crises and to emphasize that the Islamic approach is a comprehensive sacred approach to all aspects of life, which is the best way to address educational, social and economic problems. The conference was held with three scientific sessions and it is worth mentioning that the participation of researchers and jurists from all Arab countries (Brunei, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Sudan, Jordan and Algeria) as well as researchers from inside Iraq from various sober Iraqi universities including (Wasit, Nineveh, Fallujah, Diyala) with valuable practical research papers.
The most important recommendations made by the conference are the need to find the jurisprudence of crises that precedes sedition for how to deal with and to study it positively based on the Islamic jurisprudence based on reality and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in dealing with sedition, spreading positivity, rejecting negativity in religious institutions and the role of Fatwa related to doctrinal issues in times of crisis after studying them in accordance with the conditions and circumstances of the Islamic community to prevent contradictions and conflicts between them. It is noteworthy that commitment of correct fatwas issued by the role of fatwas each according to the circumstances of his country in which he lives and the development of religious discourses in accordance with the current reality that we live in and work to properly understand them, adopt interim and non-interim plans to contribute to the renewal of Islamic discourse while urging preachers to use constructive religious discourses that work on the importance of integration between communities and peaceful coexistence among them.
