The Mental Health Nursing Branch at the college of nursing has organized a field visit to the Specialized Burns Hospital with students for the fourth grade students within the critical nursing study material and with the supervision of their professors. The field tour in the burns and emergency lounges aimed at giving students information, practical experiences in how to provide nursing care to patients and in measuring vital signs, giving intravenous fluids as prescribed by specialist physicians. The therapist also performed the process of changing and sterilizing burns or wounds as well as providing nursing and medical advice to patients about their real health conditions and how to take medications in the right scientific way or the side effects of each in addition to providing psychological and emotional support for the patients and their families.
