The Adult Nursing Branch at the college of nursing has organized a field visit to Baghdad Teaching Hospital for the second-grade students under the direct supervision of their professors.
The purpose of this visit was to develop the knowledge and skills, clinical practices of students and to identify the symptoms of illnesses in the esoteric and surgical fields, including diabetes and the diabetic foot ulcer so as to provide nursing care to patients through the measurement of vital signs, changing the patient’s conditions in bed to prevent bed sores in addition to providing advice to patients regarding any case. The importance of nursing documentation of procedures provided to patients is very essential to avoid errors when diagnosis of diseases or treatment when needed.
