Assist. Prof. Dr. Muna Haidar Abdul Jabbar, a faculty member at the college of education for women has participated in a specialized workshop held for three days with the aim to develop peace-building, security and development curricula to make a qualitative shift in the curricula of special graduate programs in such fields.

The participants agreed to add four main subjects within the curriculum in all departments and to demonstrate the importance of developing scientific institutions by emphasizing diversity of study sources that have positive results on institutional work, in addition to demonstrate the requirements for supporting and preparing the curriculum for peace-building studies in master’s degree in Iraqi universities. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Advisory, the Research and Development Department at the ministry of higher education and scientific research, the Strategic Psychological Cell, the Peace Organization PAX in the Netherlands and the Iraqi Al-Amal Association, as well as several heads of departments at the college of education for women at the University of Baghdad, the college of arts at Mustansiriyah University, and representatives of the universities of Wasit, Diyala, Tikrit, Samarra, Fallujah, Anbar, Qadisiyah, Dhi Qar and Mosul.
