Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, Rector of the University of Baghdad has chaired the 5th session of the university council in the membership of his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs and the council secretary, in the presence of all members, deans of faculties, postgraduate institutes and centers to discuss a number of issues on the agenda. The session included the approval of the scientific promotion of a number of faculty members to the rank of professorship, as well as discussing the inclusion of Iraqi scientific journals in international repositories and rankings, how to conduct the electronic in-class exam for the evaluative examinations of the medical group, ways for the provision of e-supplies & laboratories in faculties, in addition to giving an extensive overview about the memorandum of scientific understanding concluded with the Head of Board of Trustees and the President of Tishk International University in Erbil, Iraq, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih.
Then Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed the need to attend scientific conferences inside the country and abroad, including a number of other scientific events in alignment with the visit of a British delegation to our university this week. On the sidelines of this session, the members of the university’s council recommended the accomplishment of providing all data for the human resources management system (HRMS) adopted this year to manage human resources and related processes throughout the employee lifecycle as well as the postgraduate studies in accordance with opening prospects of communication with the students to solve their problems, with a special reference to the educational and guiding role of the teaching staff when dealing with students.
