The department of crisis studies at the center for strategic and international studies has organized an extensive seminar entitled “The repercussions of the grand Ethiopian renaissance dam on Egypt and Sudan” chaired by the researcher Muna Hussein Obeid. The lecturer introduced and analyzed the concerns expressed by both the Egyptian and Sudanese sides due to the Ethiopian dam and its negative consequences on both countries because of many risks surrounding the Egyptian national security. Then the researcher talked about the impact of this dam on Egypt and Sudan’s share of the vital Blue Nile since there is a lack of an agreement that guarantees water security or any compensation for the economic and environmental damages to both countries.
