Assist. Prof. Dr. Vivian Ahmed Muhammed, a faculty member from the department of geography at the college of education for women has participated recently in a training course for establishing peace within the principle of participation in the development of society and was part of the program (Prelude to peace and conflict studies) in Erbil. The course that was sponsored by the Iraqi Al-Amal Association in collaboration with the Danmission Independent Christian Missionary Organization in Denmark lasted for five days and addressed several topics such as: conflict management, peace-building, conflict transformation, peace-making and how to develop mechanisms and strategies to resolve crises suffered by the Iraqi people. This event was attended by many Iraqi and foreign experts, consultants and representatives of Iraqi colleges & universities.
