The college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has organized recently an electronic workshop entitled “Non-viral drug delivery system for Covid-19 infection” chaired by the lecturer Omar Saeb Saleh from the Pharmaceutics Branch via Zoom platform. The lecturer at first discussed the seriousness of this virus and the multiple trials made at the outbreak of the pandemic to manufacture safe and effective vaccines; also he provided a detailed explanation of several types of conductive systems that work as alternative carriers of viruses in order to reduce the side effects of vaccines witnessed by people. Then he addressed the latest technologies used globally to reduce infection and to face such epidemiologic transition by taking advantage of many field experiments conducted in this regard as well as other prescribed pharmaceutical treatments available to a number of age groups.
