The Oral Diagnosis Branch at the college of dentistry, the University of Baghdad, has organized a specialized workshop entitled: (Imaging of the salivary glands using the sialography procedure) chaired by the lecturer Feryal Mahmoud Abdul Ridha.

The workshop dealt with this technique that includes a plain radiography and a conventional sialography technology, indicating also the use of high-resolution Ultrasonography (HRUS) recently for gland imaging and how it assists physicians to detect diseases or critical conditions affecting the salivary glands such as gravel, narrowing or chronic inflammation through the injection of a substance within the gland channel to be photographed, then the lecturer reviewed the materials and tools used in this clinical method.
