President of University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool received a delegation from the Indonesian Islamic University of Mawlana Malik Ibrahim presided by the Ambassador of Indonesia to Baghdad, Bambanj Antariksu and the director of international cooperation at the University, Saif al-Mustafa and a number of university professors. During the meeting, several issues related to educational and academic aspects were discussed as well as the scientific role played by the two universities in order to advance their reality. President of University of Baghdad provided a detailed explanation of the university, its faculties, institutes, scientific and research centers, its role and significant impact left despite our country’s circumstances that have affected all state institutions. The Indonesian Ambassador for his part was very pleased to visit University of Baghdad and to stand up to its advanced educational and academic levels while the two sides discussed the development of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities to promote scientific and research cooperation. At the end of the visit, Dr. Alaa Abdul Rasool dedicated the university’s Shield to the visiting delegation and received the counterpart Indonesian shield of Maulana Malik Ibrahim University for his scientific efforts to the development of the scientific and educational levels of the mother’s university.
