The Theoretical Sciences Branch, in cooperation with the Team Games Branch at the college of physical education and sports sciences at the University of Baghdad organized an online workshop on ResesrchGate portal delivered by the lecturer Omed Rashid via Google Meet service within the series of courses and lectures launched to support the stay at home campaign and in implementation of its annual scientific plan.

The workshop aimed to introduce lecturers to the mechanasim adopted for the registration in this research portal, which is one of the important academic applications for all researchers, besides Google Scholar, used for publishing research. The lecturer gave a detailed explanation on how to register on the site and that it provides official accounts for users exclusively where they can input all kinds of research, such as qualitative lectures and certificates of participation in conferences with the possibility of adding full texts of every research to be downloaded later by followers.

The workshop also included a practical explanation of how to raise the RG index, which appears in profile through some adopted criteria, including the publication of intellectual output periodically on an ongoing basis, asking questions to the group of followers and answering the questions of followers, publishing projects to receive opinions from scientists specialized in a specific field, exchanging recommendations and sharing publications among followers.
