Our Scientists Discuss Theses of Reconstruction of the Country

  The university started off again in a new circle of social networking through its studies and scientific theses , to codify its ideas and approaches of life by advanced formula rather than the abnormal circumstances and conditions that Iraq is going through, it achieves a lot of humanitarian gains of the society in its constructive planning and philosophical theses in construction – new construction , root construction, modernism that keeps developments and situations in advanced and developing countries worldwide.

  It relies on our university scientists and its researchers and thinkers to have generations capable of building a society according to a balanced rhythm of, through superior academic studies and that is processed in the humanity reactors of the University that excels nuclear reactors in its achievement of capabilities and capacities in the engineering and reconstruction of infrastructure in Human and society according to the modern and advanced image. Perhaps, the discussions of the studies and scientific theses give a lot of constructive ideas to the society and humanity, because of its advantages of the intellectual depth and the studies of the phenomena and nature. Among the discussions that help society with important gains : about the care and maintenance of historical and archaeological religious cities, a doctoral thesis of Ali Daoud Al-Attar in the Department of Architecture at the college of Engineering at the hall of Mohammed Makiya for his entitled research ” cultural invariable and variable and its impact on the sustainability of religious cities ” and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Ni’ma and the discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Bahjat Rashad Shaheen the president and the membership of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Ali , Prof. Dr. Sana’ Sati’ Abbas and Prof. Dr. Luay Mulla Howeish, as well as another study of the feasibility and importance in the development of industrial work and feedstock, entitled “trials and evaluation of the virtual block and roughness of the particles of accelerated solid in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids “, as it has been completed of the doctoral thesis of the student Hussein Yousef in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Hall of discussions in the department and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abbas Hamid Salimon and Prof. Dr Adel Obeid Sharif University of Surrey in Britain, the thesis has got excellent, and the discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdulkareem Mohammed as president and the membership of Dr. Majid Hameed Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Nejdet Nashi’t Abdullah, Dr. Yassin Khudair Salman, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wadood Taher Mohammed.

  To take advantage of these scientific theses we display some data or details about them for the benefit of the researcher in our university, Baghdad University, or the other Iraqi universities, to make the university always in the service of society, the Website team has documented these discussions with a set of photographs.

Doctoral Discussion of the student Hussein Yousf

  Environmental Engineering Department Achieved PhD Thesis titled “Experimental evaluation of the virtual mass and roughness of solid particles accelerating in Newtonian and non- Newtonian fluids”

  PhD thesis was completed in the Environmental Engineering Department by the PhD’s student Prof. Hussein Yousf. His thesis titled “Removal of three textile reactive dyes “Experimental evaluation of the virtual mass and roughness of solid particles accelerating in Newtonian and non- Newtonian fluids” ” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abbas Hameed Sulaymon and Prof. Adel Obeed Sharif from Surrey University, United Kingdom. The thesis got excellent evaluation. The Scientific Committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul-Haleem Abdul-Karim Mohammed, and membership by Prof. Dr. Majed Hameed Ibraheem, Prof. Dr. Najdat Nashat Abdullah, Prof. Dr. Yaseen Khudeir Salman, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Wadood Tahir Mohammed. The researcher investigated the surface roughness effect of falling spheres in different fluids (Newtonian, and non- Newtonian) on the virtual mass coefficient for single sphere, two spheres side by side and on line movement. Seven and different diameters (10, 11, 16, 16.5, 18, 20.5 and 27) mm of stainless steel were used for three different grades for surface roughness besides the smooth sphere. A glass cylinder of 220 mm diameter and 1500mm length was used as a liquid column. A new design and contraction system for falling spheres was used, to achieve a perfect falling the spheres. Two types of measuring velocities were used, FPGA kit as electronic system and high speed camera (Samsung 3000/ 1000fps) as virtual method. A CFD software ANSYS FLUENT 14 software was used for supporting the case studies.

Doctoral Discussion of the student Ali Dawod Al-Attart

  PhD thesis was completed in the Architectural Engineering – Department by the PhD’s student Ali Dawod Al-Attar t His thesis titled THE EFFECT OF CULTURAL FIXED AND VARIABLE ON SUSTAINABILITY OF RELIGIOUS CITIES ” under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saba Jabbar The Scientific Committee chaired by Prof.Dr.Bahjat Rashad Shahin, Prof Dr.khalel Ibrahim Ali, Prof Dr. Sanaa Satea Abas , Prof Dr.Luae Taha Al Mula Huaish and Assist Prof. Dr.Jasim Abood Al Dabag Al Nahreen – The research contains the folloing;

  The criticism of the fixed and the variable for the different lively hood dimensions occupies a distinct position in the trend of human thought. However, for the last decades, most of the recent studies are focusing on the implication of the fixed and variable in the various fields of human life.

  Many of the recent epistemology school of thoughts used the subject of the fixed and the variable in the vibrant dimensions of the human entity and criticism of perpetual fixation of the components of the entity, the consolidation of change and the thematical and the conceptual change as a base to analyze various phenomena. This leads for the appearance of a disturbance in the balanced development. Accordingly, the search for what is fixed or variable is regarded as a starting point to establish strategies guiding the directions of the sustainability in the planning and ordering. Also the society culture is the director factor for their behavior on person level or groups. So the organization of suitable environment with the nature of special culture of the society, is the guarantee of stabile sustainable environment.

  However, the nature of the society and the relations of its contents, the basic roll in the architectural configuration of the cities. As the sustainable society is which long lasting through years: it is a flexible society. As the city reflect the human needs and concept and values.

  The research emphasis on the changes which occur on the values and human needs during time, as each period of time has its own, which has its reflect on city environment due to the action of development which make city alive and dynamic and when sudden confused change, occur quantitatively and qualitatively the analytic and organized dealing is a necessity to deal with ciaos.

  The general research the problem “the shortage in knowledge about the relation between fixed and variable in culture and its effect on the formation of the strategies to sustain cities”. the research problem “the shortage in knowledge about the relation between fixed and variable in culture and its effect on religious cities with holy shrine”. so we can say on the field of building cultural identity the issue of cultural originality adding on urban and social originality is part of general feeling. so the need to the reformation of urban identity to the Arabic city in general to show the real cultural value which fit to the urban culture. by deepening the inherited culture and evaluating the coming ones.

  The research goal is: “Reaching obvious vision on fixed and variables in religious cities of holy shrine, related with urban environment and its sustainability”. Research hypothesis: “There is great importance for the deepening cultural issues, and (topographical, environmental, social ones) to a place for sustaining religious cities”. And the kind and degree of the relations between fixed and cultural variable the great direct effect on sustainable accuracy. The cultural fixed integrated with cultural changes factors to achieve sustainability.
