Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has inspected lately the vaccination outlet at the university’s health center to follow up this major campaign and to urges everyone to receive vaccinates against Coronavirus pandemic, also he praised the efforts exerted to register the data of the applicants online so as to reduce infections and protect our staff and students.

Dr. Munir al-Saadi during this inspection tour, accompanied by the assistant rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul kareem al-Sammarraie and the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Dr. Ahmed Wahid Nasser, stressed that vaccination has become a global social necessity towards maintaining public health and to return to our normal life, especially since the ministry of higher education has announced that teaching would be in classes at the onset of the next academic year.

It is noteworthy that the third day of vaccination process at the University of Baghdad witnessed a large turnout from various colleges and departments, where (84) doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine were given to a number of professors and staff, including the assistant rector for scientific affairs, as well as the deans of the colleges of science, agricultural engineering sciences and physical education and sports sciences. The director of the university’s health center, Prof. Dr. Amir al-Ameri, stated during his speech that the next week will be devoted to vaccinating students, adding that this campaign is continuing throughout the summer holiday.
