The Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held a virtual workshop on the basics of training in educational laboratories. The first lecture was given by the Lecturer Dawood Obaid al-Taifi on (Laser and applied optics in educational laboratories) in which he presented the most important applications of laser and optics in the field of educational labs and how to address the intellectual skills of students in the fields of research and technology. The second lecture was delivered by Assist. Lecturer Noor Taha Ismail entitled (The basics of training using laser in medical research clinics) during which a number of laser devices were reviewed for dermatology and cosmetology purposes and their most important applications, characteristics and cases that can be treated.
The third lecture concerned with (The requirements of Nanophotonics laboratory) given by the Assist. Lecturer Zainab Fakhri Mirza who discussed the properties of nanomaterials that sparked a revolution in technological development, also the main methods applied for preparing them, the main devices that must be provided in any nano labs, the optical properties of nanoparticles, including the essential instructions to be taken by employees and students working in this field.
