Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has contributed lately in the 2nd international e-learning conference sponsored by the department of research and development at the ministry of higher education and scientific research, with the participation of a number of rectors and professors from different countries of the world.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi reviewed during his speech the achievements attained by the University of Baghdad and the nature of educational services provided for faculty members and students despite the curious conditions of the wide spread of Covid-19 pandemic and the flexible policy adopted in light of the integrated education mechanisms, thereby achieving its sustainable development goals, upgrading its infrastructure, building institutional capacity, developing and strengthening the professional aspect and knowledge structure in accordance with the required integrated education patterns. It is noteworthy that the sessions addressed all topics related to the ministry of higher education’s experience in digital transformation over a full year of interaction, involving 1.67 million students and 57,000 professors, all of whom were able to chart the course of success praised by some international academic organizations. The conference concluded its first session with the presence of more than 1,500 participants from inside and outside Iraq, praising the experience of Iraqi universities in this regard and their openness to the world for the sake of achieving their educational objectives.
