Prof. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad met a number of representatives of students from ten university’s colleges to contact with them directly in various fields and to learn about their needs and overcome the problems they encounter at the onset of the current academic year. The students addressed matters regarding the validity of online lectures adopted last year due to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in Iraq based on the formal instructions of the ministry of higher education and scientific research, as well as the need to review the mechanism of housing students coming from other provinces and the provision of internet service in student residences.

It was also agreed to hold regular meetings with the responsible authorizes at the university’s presidency to discuss scientific and practical developments regarding morning and evening studies. It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by both the assistant rector for administrative affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wahid and the director of dormitories Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh, where the students in turn praised the role of the university in following up and maintaining communication with students in all disciplines.
