Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with his counterpart Prof. Dr. Shafiq Shaker Shafiq, rector of Al-Ayen University in Dhi Qar in the presence of the assistant rector for scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Samarrai and the assistants rector for scientific and administrative affairs and dean of the college of medical and health technologies at the aforementioned university.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi stated in this occasion that the University of Baghdad is keen to open prospects of mutual coordination with other Iraqi educational institutions to keep up with the latest developments taking place in higher education across the world. Also he asserted the need for extensive recognition of the importance of activating cooperation aimed at developing academic staff in public and private universities in the fields of training students, exchanging academic experiences, holding conferences, seminars, workshops and publishing scientific research in international repositories, emphasizing that the University of Baghdad is putting all its scientific and research capabilities at the reach of this private university.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Shaker expressed his high confidence in the new management of the University of Baghdad and its scientific competencies, hoping that this agreement will result in real fruitful outputs in all fields. At the conclusion of this meeting, Dr. Shafiq Shaker dedicated the shield of cooperation and science to the rector of the University of Baghdad, wishing success for both universities.
