The department of soil sciences and water resources at the college of agricultural engineering sciences organized a virtual international symposium entitled “Food Security and Water Needs in Light of Climate Change” via Google Meet service with the participation of a group of academics and researchers concerned.

The lecturers outlined the threats to human life on the planet, represented by rapid, comprehensive and increasingly continuous environmental changes caused by human tampering with ecosystems, ways of environmental reform and reducing the consequences of global warming and the resulting disasters. Also they came up with several recommendations, the most important of which is to restore the reconciliation between human beings and their environment to preserve our nature and the lives of future generations, as well as to restore ecosystem and biodiversity. At the same time they called people to harness applied sciences and technology to repair the affected environment through reducing the use of fossil fuels that cause gas emission.
