Dean of the college of medicine at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaljie at the head of a high-level delegation visited His Excellency the minister of health and environment Dr. Hassan Mohammed Al-Tamimi at his office to discuss prospects of partnership between the two sides.
They addressed a number of topics that will improve the health services in Iraq as well as to emphasize the importance of cooperation and coordination with educational institutions for providing training opportunities for medical students. Dr. Ali Shaljie confirmed that the medical staff at the college sought to provide hospitals with efficient assistance in conjunction with the Covid-19 pandemic, noted that a large number of faculty professors are present daily in various hospitals to perform tests for suspected patients in order to confirm their infection and provide appropriate treatment.
