The Society of Petroleum Engineers – University of Baghdad Chapter hosted the Egyptian engineer Amir Ali of Schlumberger Limited Company to present his published research on a number of Iraqi oil fields so as to introduce students to the modern technology applied in Iraqi fields.
This stud was displayed during the meeting (IPTC2020) established in 2020 in which the researcher discussed the problems of cementing faced in one of the southern Iraqi fields and how these problems were addressed also he explained new applications in this field which prompted the research’s presentation in a global conference. The Iraqi and the Arab students attending this meeting asked the researcher several questions on the techniques used by the work team for preparing a well for further drilling; production and pumping cement in a wellbore.
