Dr. Inas Khalifa al-Sharji, an assistant professor at the college of medicine has published recently a scientific article in a global journal on how to deal with the increased immunity to various diseases, i.e, infectious diseases including viral ones. The study showed that countries with a BCG group vaccine program may have less incidence of MERS-CoV.

This study encourages the use of BCG vaccine to support their immunity as well as zinc compounds, especially zinc sulfates which increases overall immunity and reduces the incidence of infectious diseases. It is noteworthy that this is the first study in Iraq that reviews the latest scientific developments on BCG vaccine and zinc sulfate in the treatment of Coronavirus.
