Assist. Lecturer Sadeem Nabeel Saleem from the department of life medicine at Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering participated in the proceedings of IEEE TIPTEKNO 19 International Conference held in Turkey sponsored by the Medical Technologies Congress with a research paper on (Investigation of a moderate cortical model synchronization created using BRIAN simulator).
This event was established to keep pace with scientific developments in the field of life medicine engineering as well as to exchange knowledge between researchers from various international universities in order to enrich and support scientific research process in Iraq. The researcher studied ways for designing computational models used to understand brain functions for the sake of developing better treatments for neurological diseases including mental & psychological disorders via BRIAN simulator. The research focused on brain reactivity and communication between cortical neurons in the same cortical layer or multiple layers to find the effect of synchronization on neural groups.
