The college of arts announced the renewal of its membership in the Sakura Network of Japan for the period (2020-2024). The dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Wahid Mahmoud stated that this achievement comes to provide the logistical support of Japan in supplying laboratories, curricula and free international subscriptions for the teaching of Japanese language at the college as well as to carry out comparative Iraqi-Japanese studies and the provision of research and training fellowships in Japan.
It is noteworthy that this Japanese foundation expects its members to play a significant role in terms of enhancing the Japanese language education in their region or country by utilizing various programs.
