Assist. Prof. Dr. Zainab Mohammed Saleh, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nawal Fadel Abbas and lecturer Siham Muhsin Muyleh have participated recently in the proceedings of the 9th International Assumption Conference (The Repercussions of Covid-19) held online by the Social Consultancy & Research Ltd – London via Zoom platform with a research paper entitled (Social Fear and Corona Pandemic).

The researchers addressed the phenomenon of social fear and its profound impact on all communities due to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. They also studied the relationship between religion and fear of infection and how it affected many religious customs and traditions that have been eliminated due this fear. Then they shed light on the effects of this pandemic in the creation of mental disorders when human beings are at risk, especially if has a global character in crisis societies and ways to address them, the most important approaches to the diagnosis of crises as well as the most vivid obstacles that hinder crisis management.
