The dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Abdul Hussein Muit al-Faisal and Assit. Prof. Dr. Wiaam Ahmed al-Amili have participated in the proceedings of the International Scientific Conference for Medical Research held in the Czech University in Erbil.
This participants included the presentation of a research paper entitled (Combining comet tests with micronucleus to assess genetic damage in patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia) in partnership with Dr. Tarek Hifdhi al-Khayat from Al-farahidi University College.
The research dealt with the concept of primary repository of genetic information through testing organic cells, including DNA and the genetic damages in lymphocytes for (50) Iraqi patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia.
