Head of the department of earth sciences at the college of science Prof. Dr. Manal Shaker Ali Al-Kubaisi has participated in Vaasa Climate Change Conference & Networking Forum 2019 through a research paper on the climate changes caused by deforestation, burning of trees, volcanic eruptions, gases and land, air and marine pollution that affect atmosphere and cause environmental imbalance.
This conference witnessed an international participation of (420) scholars from (25) countries, including the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden and NORCE Energy Research Network in Norway, as well as several international research centers with the aim to study and discuss the new dramatic changes in world climate and global warming as a result of increased emissions of gases, destructive storms, spread of drought and diseases.
