The college of engineering at the University of Baghdad received two high-level awards in the international exhibition competition on computing innovations through presenting two projects, the first one is entitled “Developing a smart society based on the Internet of things” under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Essam Younis and Assist. Prof. Manal Fadhil Younis.
The second project is entitled (An open cloud-based system for the development and delivery of smart applications and services) and was jointly conducted with Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Essam Younis and Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Ahmed al-Serawi from Bhang University in Malaysia.
It is noteworthy that 152 research papers were presented at this international event, 58 of which won innovation certificates and 15 international universities were awarded with medals where the first Iraqi innovation won the silver medal and the second innovation won the bronze medal.
