Prof. Dr. Rand Hazim Agha from the department of architecture engineering at the college of engineering participated in the international conference on intelligent science and technology held in UK and sponsored by a number of British universities where she obtained the award of the best presentation for her research paper entitled “The nature of smart systems in buildings”.
The researcher addressed the structure of smart systems used in buildings as a new knowledge revolution that offers many benefits, including increasing the efficiency of the building and improving its performance in terms of social, economic and environmental service. Also she tried to identify the complexities and types of intelligent systems, their level of integration as well as the relationship between their control unit and components.
