Rector of University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool presided on Monday 18/3/2019 an extensive meeting with the members of the central committee and the supporting team in charge of implementation of the government program in the presence of Associate Rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Osama Fadel Abdul Latif. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein stressed that the implementation and follow-up of the government program should be given the utmost importance within the time limits set for each and to submit reports on the completion rate periodically to the ministry of higher education and scientific research.
The meeting also reviewed the objectives of the government program and the projects or the programs to be implemented during (2018-2022) with timetables. Chairman of the central committee, Prof. Dr. Osama Fadel noted the role of the supporting team is to coordinate between the university formations and the departments of the ministry with the commitment to establish timetables for the university to be implemented by (the departments of legal, administrative, financial affairs, government contracts and scholarship and cultural relations) with the significance of preparation of periodic reports to be submitted every 20 days by the members of the supporting team the central committee to the ministry’s headquarters. Director of the department of quality assurance and university performance, Dr. Yousra Mohammed Abdallah added that there is a schedule of distribution of programs and responsibilities to the university departments and research centers in addition to follow-up of the completion rates sent by the ministry for the purpose of accreditation.
