Dr. Zuhair Kazim, a professor from the department of water resources at the college of engineering participated in the International Geotechnical Analysis Conference held in London through presenting a research paper on the soil that is subjected to frequent on-site periodic loading in situations such as earthquakes and pressure on street land. The researcher used a physical particles scale of the digital image in order to measure the displacement fields on a local level of a dense sandy medium that interacts with a rigid stripe base under stress-level conditions for two common types of frequent loading and semi-static loading for comparison purposes.
