College of arts announced the introduction of a higher diploma study in the specialization of peace and conflict transformation studies after gaining the approval of the Council of University of Baghdad with the support of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to be started during the next academic year (2019-2020). Director General of the department of research and development at the ministry, Dr. Ghassan Abdul Hamid praised the joint efforts of the Iraqi universities and the University of Innsbruck in Austria to update and approve the university curricula.
