Center for information resources at the central library, University of Baghdad organized a lecture on Fulbright Program in cooperation with the US embassy in Baghdad delivered by the embassy delegate, Prof. Muthana Assem. The lecture addressed matters related to this academic program which provides the young Iraqi students an opportunity to pursue their study at the postgraduate level, as well as details about tuition and travel fees, books and equipment, monthly salaries, lodging and health insurance for emergency cases. The lecturer also indicated that students can apply to the most areas of study including humanities, social sciences, science, technology and engineering except clinical studies such as medicine and nursing and that the participants will be selected through an open and merit-based competition system taking into account all the potential of leadership, academic excellence and adaptability to life in the United States of America.
