Dr. Jabra Ahmed Ankosh, a professor from the department of desertification control at the college of agricultural engineering, University of Baghdad with a group of Iraqi women parliamentarians, activists and media professionals met the president of the republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Saleh to discuss the role of women in combating violence to be able to perform their duties and their valuable humanitarian mission in society. Mr. President stated during his speech that women had been subjected to persecution and deprivation at the past and that it is now the time to protect them from caste and social discrimination, to work together and to participate genuinely with men in life as well as to take responsibility and decision-making in the administration of our country.
