Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the University of Baghdad held a grand central ceremony to celebrate the graduation of its sixty-eighth cohort, under the theme “Excellence and Innovation.” The event took place at the sports fields of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and was attended by a wide array of officials, academics, and large crowds of the graduates’ families.

The ceremony featured the academic procession of the graduates, who adorned the venue with their robes and faculty banners, in moments filled with pride and the fruits of years of diligence and perseverance. Official speeches were delivered, highlighting the pioneering role of the University of Baghdad as the nation’s flagship institution, which has contributed significantly to the development of scientific and professional capacities that have played a vital role in building the country’s institutions and society.

The event concluded with the Minister of Higher Education honoring the top-performing students from both the morning and evening programs. The celebratory atmosphere brought joy to the faces of the graduates and their families, reflecting a deep sense of belonging to this venerable academic institution, which continues to stand as a steadfast beacon of knowledge and scholarship in Iraq.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
