To broaden the prospects of academic cooperation, Baghdad University is making progress in establishing cultural affairs with other foreign countries which will have valuable effects on students, instructors and researchers. The university exchanges visits and tours with international countries and at the same time develop bonds with the embassies in Iraq. Recently, proff. Musa Al- Musawi has met the Greek and the Algiki ambassadors with whom he arranged for ways of academic cooperation through sending instructors and researchers to view academic sections, curricula and syllabuses and to make use of international educational experiences. The president also expressed his honor of receiving visitors from Greek and Algik in the University of Baghdad.
Algiki ambassador presented a lecture in the faculty of political science attended by the sector and other instructors. The ambassador lectured about her country, describing the stages of political changes her country witnessed and explained their similarity with those witnessed in Iraq. Moreover, she expressed her governments’ willingness to cooperate with Iraqi instructors.
On the other hand, Baghdad university has had the honor of receiving the Japanese ambassador, Mr. Shoji Okaoa, who presented a lecture in the faculty of Information with the correspondent of N-H-K Japan Broadcasting Cooperation, Mr. Jujori Fotori who worked in Iraq and Egypt in movie direction and reporting disasters witnessed in Japan. The lecture involved many discussions about the means of developing cultural affairs between Iraq and Japan.
