Department of surveying engineering at the university of Baghdad conducts a field survey in al-Qishleh archaeological site <\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

  The department of surveying engineering at the college of engineering, university of Baghdad conducted field surveys in al-Qishleh archaeological site in the capital, as part of its scientific activities. In this context, the students of the 4th grade and under the supervision of their professors conducted field surveys during a picnic to al-Qishleh to document this cultural milestone within the scientific plan of the department. This is considered as a practical application by the students to upgrade their skills in using surveying equipment such as (STONEX X300) since laser scanning provides a high degree of accuracy in 3D and it enables the user to handle real terrain directly, as well as the use (GPS) to get the coordinates of the sites to be documented. This technology is used by the department after it invaded (geomatics) globally, for it contains a laser scanner with a compact digital camera. This department seeks always to train students and develop their engineering abilities in order to invest them in construction and development of Iraq. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
