Baghdad University Museum Receives its visitors and guests after rehabilitation to be acquainted with the achievements of the university and its cultural heritage <\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

  The museum of the University of Baghdad located in Al- Jadiriya compound, has finished to receive university students, researchers, their members and professors, and all the guests who want to visit from various universities and government departments and schools, to be acquainted with course of the oldest university in Iraq and the Middle East. Dr. Haider Hameed ,director of Baghdad University Museum in a statement to the correspondent of University Media \/ says, “now the museum includes more than 300 images representing historical stages of the University since it was founded in 1957 till nowadays and are sorted by years of the founding of its colleges, institutes and centers, we have devoted a certain aspect of the Museum for historical photographs of the presidency of the University of Baghdad including oil paintings of the presidents of the university since its inception until the end of its presidency of Dr. Musa al-Moussawi, ” he has added,” as well as the museum includes a large number of historical souvenirs of the University representing different stages of its rich scientific achievements at various levels”. Dr. Haider Hameed has explained that ” The scientific edifice includes an electronic museum which consists of two (LED) screens through which a show of the documentary recordings about the University of Baghdad is displayed and the historical photos that can not be displayed inside the halls of the museum, as it can be controlled by the director’s room across a computer prepared for this purpose, as well as supplying the museum with online service that is used for the purpose of the collection of documentary photographs of the University of Baghdad and its own recordings and relevant activities of heritage , history and archive”.<\/p>\n

  Hameed,says: “the University of Baghdad Museum is part of the project of the historical memory of the university, which is the main memory center of the colleges, institutes and centers, and it is a secondary memory which provides annually the relevant activities for the purpose of documentation since this, briefly, represents the mechanism of the historical memory of the University of Baghdad “. The University of Baghdad Museum has established in 2007 under the guidance of former President of Baghdad University professor Dr. Musa al-Moussawi, and was rehabilitated and renovated in accordance with technical and aesthetic specifications of high quality, and re-opened in 2013 during the reign of the presidency of Prof. Dr. Alaa’ AbdulHussein Abdulrasoul and on 03\/20\/2013 it has been disengaged from the Department of Sport and artistic activity and has been linked directly to the Office of President of the University in recognizing the importance of the museum in university life, along with the sincere efforts of the reconstruction of the museum team, reveled in befitting the mother university and the new look of the Museum which at least affair for the museums of the world with the testimony of everyone who has visited and seen it. The museum opens every day in the official working hours at its location in Al- Jadiriya compound near the development and continuing education center against the University Tower, and it is ready to receive guests and by organizing visits to students and guests to be acquainted with the history and heritage of the University of Baghdad. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
