University of Baghdad adopts the electronic application of postgraduate studies<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

University of Baghdad has begun working with the electronic application of postgraduate studies by receiving the applicants of the academic year 2014-2015  which started on  1st of July and will end on 14th of next August on the  fields that the ministry of higher education and scientific research has identified. Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein, president of the university, said “After a research study that the presidency of university of Baghdad went through, modern programs have been adopted in the electronic application of the applicants to get M.A and Ph.D degrees” referring to, “a coordination has been made with the computer centre of the university and the department of postgraduate studies to come out with the electronic application which will serve the applicant as well as the university simultaneously“. The assistant of the president of the university of the scientific affairs, Dr. Osama Fadhil Abdul Latif has explained that it is possible to apply electronically by the (internet, offline) of the open specializations in the colleges and institutes and according to the central regulations and directions which require the applicants to come to their colleges bringing their documents and filling their  personal and scientific information forms by themselves in the forms of the special electronic programs and in special computers that the colleges have allocated for this purpose which are linked to unified and internal net, then the information will be examined and then be adopted officially among the other applications .In addition ,these data will be examined by special computer programs, after that the results will be announced in the same electronic way and through the website of the university. University of Baghdad is expected a large number of  applicants this year because of the scientific level that our students own. It calls the applicants to follow up what is published including the updates and the related matters of applying through the website of the university. The central directions identify the 7th of September as a date of taking the competition of the applicants and the next day 8th of September  for English examination, whereas the 9th of September will be for the computer efficiency where the university has opened computer laboratories for this examination. The applicants of the postgraduate studies referred to this step in statements to the website of the university and the university media, “ this step can be successful due to its technical and technological extents and can substitute the paper transactions which were followed in the past, besides killing the routine that is followed in the government directorates”. It is noted that university of Baghdad is considered the first Iraqi university that adopts the electronic application of the postgraduate studies, in addition to the announcement of the results of the undergraduate and postgraduate studies through the website in order to facilitate the difficulty of coming among students especially those from outside Baghdad who can know the results through the websites of their colleges. Furthermore, this way motivates them to use modern techniques and to cope with information technology that the university makes it available.
