Gen. Mohsen Kazem Alak, Director General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, and his delegation at the university headquarters to advance joint cooperation. The visit followed directives from the Prime Minister, underscoring national support for integrated safety systems at Baghdad University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The delegation congratulated Prof. Atiya on assuming leadership of Iraq\u2019s oldest academic institution, wishing him success in steering it toward further progress. Discussions focused on enhancing safety measures and readiness for emergencies across campus, with Civil Defense pledging full support\u2014specialized equipment, awareness programs, training courses, and regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both sides emphasized the importance of joint field practices, including evacuation drills, to embed a culture of safety and ensure preparedness of faculty, staff, and students.
