New Appointments to more than 540 Employees<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

With care of the staff of the university and the continuous work even outside office hours , fundamental work and preparations have been conducted  to issue orders of appointment for new employees of the top students and who are working in the form  of  contracts and the  returning academic competencies of  various  disciplines, where  administrative assistant formed operations room at his office  to resolve the issues of appointment as soon as possible, in order to appoint  about  550 employees, between a university professor and an employee, where  meetings were held successively  in the Office of the Administrative Assistant Professor Hussein Yousef, which contained several points including  appointing  the staff of the daily wages for workers since 2011 and below,  the re-appointing of the academic competencies returning to Iraq and the appointing of the tops of colleges and institutes for 2011-2012 \/ 2012 – 2013. The applicants have been selected and all the submitted transactions to the university have been checked.All the conditions, central requirements and valid instructions have been applied. Dr Hussein Yousef in an interview with the website explained that the  record will be submitted to His Excellency the Minister for approval and then meet the due process,  Dr Hussein added  that Mr. university  president has instructed that the proceedings should be as soon as possible, ordering  the formation of a committee of specialists from  Department of legal Affairs, Administration and Finance, auditing  and financial control with  the presence of Director of Studies and planning, Mr. Samir Mohammed Jaber, who  has explained  that the work is going on in full swing to complete the appointments as well as the over time work continues  and  the workers with us in the Committee are making extraordinary efforts in order to complete the procedures, besides  that our university has adopted the best programs systems in the management and auditing of files and transactions  and then  inserted data according to the latest developed  technology in order to save time and effort. Hehas also showed that there are directives of  giving interest to the academic  competencies and  medical groups and to consider the cases covered by the recruitment and sporadic, and  if we completed this record and  has been approved by His Excellency the Minister, there is a new record we will prepare once ratified  to  appoint a new group. We would like to show that all the new appointments are of the university staff exclusively and we always seek to serve the society through the slogan of the university “the university is in service of the society”. Quality assurance holds a specialized symposium entitled “a vision in administrative reform and investing the human resources for a better future”<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Under the auspices of the minister of higher education and scientific research prof. Ali Mohamed Hussein Al-Adeeb the quality assurance  and university performance  at the university of Baghdad held a specialized symposium entitled (A vision  in administrative reform and investing  of human resources for a better future) delivered by Dr. Salah Abdul Qader al-Nuaimi, adviser of  the minister  for management and strategy affairs. Attended a symposium held at the hall of the college of engineering – al-Khwarizmi, at the head of Baghdad university, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasul and assistant chancellor for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Yousef added a number of deans and directors of departments and formations of the university of Baghdad. <\/span>The seminar was opened by reading a verse from the Quran and after the word Mr. president of the university of Baghdad, which praised the seminar and the importance of administrative reform, which are well known to one which stems from a fundamental position which is how the evolution of institutions that have become the need the need to bother after years of development and be based on the data in order to be true in the future is also valid. Distinctive activities and international conferences of the college of engineering<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The college of engineering participated in Erbil conference held by the United Nations in Iraq to discuss the advantage of excellent and talented academic minds outside Iraq and attracting them to supplement the Iraqi universities and participate in postgraduate studies.  The workshop is made with the participation of the college of engineering – university of Baghdad, Sulaimaniyah university, the university of Irbil, Mosul university and the university of Basra. Professor Dr. Saba Jabbar Ni’ma – head of the department of architecture who has been sent to deliver a lecture exposing the scientific, educational and research activities of the college of engineering. The workshop has approved  some important recommendations for its  success of and what flourishes the educational process at universities and to develop postgraduate studies.<\/span>
Within the activities, the consultative group  of the instructors of the college of engineering participated to discuss the final designs of the airport project of the Middle Euphrates with the ministry of transport and the French company in Beirut the final diagrams of the airport project of the Middle Euphrates in cooperation with the concerned consultant. Professor Dr. Saba Jabbar Nima – head of the department of architecture, long-practiced Professor Dr. Bahgat Rashad Shaheen – department of architecture, Prof. Dr. Qais Saeed Sabbagh – department of computer engineering and Prof. Dr. Sidqi Ismail, director of engineering division at the university of Baghdad. Related to this, the department of architecture in the college of engineering, university of Baghdad organized an educational exhibition to definition architecture engineering  and the nature of the study with its first phase requirements in order to make them to see the nature of the possibilities that are available in the department and the definition of curriculum and requirements. Dr. Saba Jabbar, head of the department, said that  architecture engineering  is an art and science of designing  and constructing of buildings to cover the materialistic human needs (such as housing) or moral needs  by using suitable materials and methods of construction. She added that the field of architecture extends to different aspects of knowledge and humanities such as mathematics, science, technology, history, psychology, politics, philosophy, social science and art as overall. It has mastered also aspects of culture such as music and astronomy. The head department indicated that architecture engineering is closely related to fields of designing cities and urban planning, civil furnishing and interior design. what is required from the architect in the design phase is complete and detailed visualization of the project and a link to nature, traditions and customs of the region and to find a suitable formula of the design to interpret the needs of the users of the place later.<\/p>\n

With the presence of media men, academic and official figures, the activities of the fourth university media week is concluded<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/strong>At the university of Baghdad, the activities of the fourth university media week sponsored by the minister of higher education and scientific research, prof. Ali Mohammed Hussein Al-Adeeb, the supervision of prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasul, president of the university of Baghdad and with the presence of a large collection of educational media, political, cultural, intellectual and social public institutions. The ceremony began with a recitation from the glorious Quran and standing up one minute to read Al- Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and higher education, then Iraqi national anthem. Chairman of the preparatory committee, Dr. Kadhem Al-Omran, director of media and public relations delivered speech at the end of the ceremony thanking all the audio-visual and written media which picked up with great interest the activities  of this week. The speech of the chairman of the preparatory committee included  the recitation of the recommendations in the light of scientific session organized on the second day of the activities, among these recommendations is inviting the foreign media men and  academics to  identify the  scientific process that taking place in Baghdad University and Higher Education in Iraq and the size of media activities taking place in the university media week which is unique of the university of Baghdad over Iraqi universities. Then, Baghdad University’ president, Prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein delivered a speech  calling the directors of university sections  to choose an ideal employee or instructor from among employees of the departments to honor him and to be a monthly tradition as well as being a motivation for all the affiliates that follow the example of those who are  honored for their giving, eagerness and discipline at work. The university president also thanked all the efforts made along the entire week in holding these activities that would have contributed to the upgrading of university of Baghdad. The administrative assistant of the president of the university, prof. Dr. Hussein Yousef delivered a speech mentioning the scientific, media and cultural activity that expressed a real and distinctive creativity that won the satisfaction and the desirability of the presidency of the university, and what the media in their programs reported, thanking one of the Iraqi satellite channels that has transferred the proceedings of this festival through a daily television newsletter, which is rarely done. Concluding the  activities of the fourth university media week included a theatrical show of the Iraq youth troupe talking about the conflict of good and evil and ends with the triumph of love, brotherhood and peace on the forces of evil and darkness, as well as a poem recited by Dr. Mohammad Reza and a special paragraph of national anthems performed by Ahbab Hussein troupe (peace be upon him) and students of the college of Islamic Science.Immediately after the conclusion of activities, president of Baghdad University, Prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein honored the dean of the college of engineering, Dr. Ahmed Sahib and dean of the college of science, Dr. Salih Mahdi, and associate dean of the college of engineering of administration, Dr. Haider Makiya, for their continuous cooperation with the presidency of the university and the department of information and public relations in holding the activities and private events of the university. The president also honored , bases of science and knowledge, directors of  sections of university center for their cooperation with the media university as well as honoring staff idealists, where employee Qusay Aishe, secretary of the university president has obtained  the first ideal employee; furthermore, a number of other staff from the center of development and continuing education, quality assurance and university performance department and the Office of the scientific assistant of the  president. The honoring included also a number of employees of the department of follow-up and coordination, media men and channels that covered the proceedings of the festival and others who have contributed in cooperation with the department of information and public relations. At the end of the honoring ceremony, the fourth media university week concluded with an open dialogue session  between employees of the departments of the university and the university president, his two administrative and scientific assistants, which included finding appropriate solutions to the problems and obstacles of work, as well as discussing ideas and proposals that would contribute to upgrade the scientific and administrative progress of Baghdad university and higher education in the new Iraq.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Alaa’ Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasul explained to our website that the letter of appreciation of the minister is a great responsibility to maintain the advanced level of the university, but it  brings us a new responsibility to  look for advanced educational ways and means of  that makes the reality of education in our university very strong. It is obvious to everyone that the university has come to a development and progress in the scientific researches,  which have  become of  advanced type particularly researches of (impact factor) that have increased to the extent that sends joy and pleasure and even pride for their numbers and distinctive qualities, so the letter of  the minister will be a new motivation to look for all the scientific developments and to cope with the  major universities, to keep our university at the top always.<\/p>\n

The minister authenticates the confirmation and appointment of 904 employees in our university<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
