The event was held in conjunction with World Intellectual Property Week at Al-Ameed University, under the auspices of the Holy Abbasid Shrine in Karbala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Dhayea\u2019s research, titled &#8220;The Effect of Adding Fine Yttrium Oxide Particles on the Corrosion Resistance of AA5083 Aluminum Alloy,&#8221; focused on developing metallic composites by reinforcing aluminum alloy with fine yttrium oxide (Y\u2082O\u2083) particles in varying weight percentages (0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%) with a grain size ranging between 40 and 60 micrometers, using the vortex casting technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The results demonstrated that incorporating these fine particles significantly enhanced hardness and reduced corrosion rates, with the most optimal performance observed at the 9% weight ratio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the sidelines of the exhibition, the President of Al-Ameed University honored Dr. Dhayea with a certificate of appreciation and the Creativity and Excellence Shield, recognizing his valuable scientific contribution to this prestigious academic event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This participation supports Sustainable Development Goal 4, advocating for quality education, and Goal 9, which promotes industry, innovation, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_raw_js]JTNDc2NyaXB0JTNFJTIwdmFyJTIwdHJhbnNfcGFnZSUzRCUyMjExOTEwNyUyMiUzQiUyMCUzQyUyRnNjcmlwdCUzRQ==[\/vc_raw_js][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Professor Dr. Abdullah Dhayea, a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, showcased his &#8230; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":117,"featured_media":54773,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"yes","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-54770","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-breaking-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
