The initiative aims to strengthen the position of Iraqi universities on the global academic map and attract international students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the conference, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized that the program is part of the ministry\u2019s strategic projects to advance the higher education environment and improve academic outcomes. He noted that the \u201cStudy in Iraq\u201d initiative, which started more than two years ago, has become a pioneering program that has attracted thousands of students from various countries. The program reflects the integration of academic reputation, research excellence, scholarly publication, and improved university environments, aligning with digital transformation efforts and Iraq\u2019s pursuit of international accreditation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted Iraq\u2019s adoption of the Bologna Process and the implementation of international academic performance standards, which have accelerated the country&#8217;s progress toward global recognition in higher education. This has recently been reflected in efforts to secure international recognition for Iraq\u2019s National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges within the framework of the World Federation for Medical Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his remarks, Baghdad University President, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, underscored the university\u2019s leading role in supporting the \u201cStudy in Iraq\u201d program by welcoming international students and offering accredited academic programs in Arabic and English across various disciplines. He also noted the establishment of a specialized unit dedicated to supporting foreign students academically and culturally, ensuring their smooth integration into university life. Additionally, Baghdad University has allocated dedicated and secure housing to enhance students\u2019 academic and living stability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor Ansaf shared Baghdad University\u2019s future vision within the program, reaffirming that these steps align with a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at positioning Baghdad University as a major attraction for international students and solidifying its status as a leading academic institution in the region, in line with the objectives of the \u201cStudy in Iraq\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the conclusion of the conference, Minister Al-Aboudi presented Baghdad University with the \u201cExcellence Shield\u201d award, recognizing its pioneering role in hosting the largest number of students under the \u201cStudy in Iraq\u201d initiative.
